Winter Seasonal

From las Vegas Nevada’s Tenaya Creek Brewery comes their “Old Jackalope Barleywine Style Ale” released on March 15th, 2012.  The Barleywine pours a deep cloudy brown colour with an off white head.  The aroma consists of malts, dark fruits, sweetness and hops.  The flavour is of malts, sweetness, dark fruits like prunes, hops bitterness, pine, resin and some alcohol.  The alcohol content of this beer comes in at 10.4%.  Being a big fan of Barleywine style beer this was a very well crafted version and I hope to get some more this winter!

Commercial Description:  Whats sealed in this bottle is only heard of in myths. Its so rare in fact, we have used a magical seal that only opens with an “Abracadabra,” or the bottle opener hanging from your keys. This rich and complex ale uses a variety of malts and hops to balance what we think is one ultimate beer. Share it with friends, savor it with colleagues, or stash it away for a future occasion. This ale will keep for months, or years if you manage to resist the temptation. ABV: 10.4%
